Ursula Galarcep
Editor/ Chief Coordinator
of Spanish Language Publications
Ursula
Galarcep began working with CORE Latin America as editor of CORE
Latin America in April 2006.
Mrs. Galarcep
previously held a position at DEMUS (Studies for Women
Defense), a Peruvian based non-profit organization,
providing legal advice and support for women suffering from
domestic violence. Following her work in Peru, Mrs. Galarcep
relocated to the United States in 2005.
Mrs. Galarcep
is a Native of Peru. In 2002 she completed a Bachelor degree in
Law and Political Science at the University of Lima.
Christopher J. Major
In-House
Columnist/Associate Coordinator of Publications
Christopher Major began
working with CORE Latin America in March 2006. Mr. Major
previously worked as an organizer in New York City. He has also
worked around environmental justice and tenant rights issues in
communities of color throughout New York City. Mr. Major will
also serve as in-country correspondent for CORE Latin America in
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Mr. Major is
a native New York with family ties throughout the Spanish and
English speaking Caribbean. In 2004, he completed a Bachelors
degree in Political Science and minor in International Studies
at the City College of the City University of New York.
Evianna
Cruz
Assistant to the Editor
Evianna Cruz began working at CORE
Latin America in the summer of 2006.
Ms. Cruz is studying sociology in New York University. She plans on pursuing
further education upon completing her bachelor.
Kwong
Leung
Public Relations Intern
Kwong Leung began working at CORE
in June 2006 under the guidance of Niger Innis, Representative of CORE.
He is pursuing a double-major in Economics/Philosophy, Politics, & Law at Binghamton
University. Upon graduation, Mr. Leung plans to enter a career
in Public Relations.

Corinne
Innis
Public Relations Director
Ms. Innis has a background in
cultural anthropology and over ten years experience in the arts.
Her main focus as PR Director has been to find efficient and
innovative ways of communicating with the public. Ms. Innis view
of the public is very broad and incorporates an international
audience. She created the concept of having international CORE
websites in response to CORE’s growing audience abroad. It is
her hope that the sites will stimulate discussion and debate
about vital issues facing global communities.
